DUELIST: PvP Loadout Basics

Loadout screen overview

The DUELIST: PvP loadout menu assigns a primary weapon, secondary sidearm or backup, and cosmetic slots for skins, KFX, graffiti, and backpacks. Access it from the lobby before queuing 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3.

Primaries define your engagement range — align with tier list recommendations. Secondaries cover reload downtime and finish wounded enemies after dodge trades.

Primary selection logic

Pick one range band per loadout: close SMG, mid burst rifle, or marksman. Map knowledge from arena overview informs swaps between sessions — not mid-round.

Beginners should run forgiving A-tier autos from A-tier weapons until recoil control stabilizes.

Secondary and utility timing

Swap to secondary during lengthy reloads or when ammo conservation matters in long team fights on team arenas. Sidearms lose to primaries at range — close distance first.

Graffiti and KFX equip separately but do not alter swap speed — see kill effects.

Pre-queue checklist

Confirm weapon tier still post-patch, sensitivity from presets, and redeemed codes from active codes if buying new skins.

Warm up one unranked duel before ranked with any loadout change — muscle memory resets take 10–20 minutes.
