DUELIST: PvP Console Controls

Default gamepad layout

DUELIST: PvP console uses standard shooter mapping: Left Stick move, Right Stick camera/aim, RT/R2 fire, LT/L2 ADS, A/X jump, B/Circle crouch or slide, Y/Triangle swap weapon, X/Square reload/interact.

Bumpers may cycle weapons or abilities depending on beta build. Check in-game controller diagram from settings.

Third-person camera benefits from moderate aim assist — do not fight the magnetization; strafe to keep crosshair on target.

Aim assist behavior

Aim assist slows reticle near enemies and provides rotational help during tracking. It is strongest at close-mid SMG ranges where console players compete in 2v2 — see team arenas.

ADS aim assist often differs from hip-fire — test both in private duels. Over-reliance causes long-range whiffs on DMRs that need manual precision.

Weapon choice matters: console-friendly picks appear in A-tier weapons with forgiving TTK and hitboxes.

Deadzone and sensitivity

Set left stick deadzone low enough to eliminate drift but high enough to ignore worn controller wander. Right stick deadzone affects micro-aim — too high feels sluggish on flicks.

Use our sensitivity settings console section for starter curves. Increase horizontal sens slightly if 180° turns feel slow in close duels.

Document settings after patches from patch notes — aim assist values change silently during beta.

Console quality-of-life

Wired controllers reduce input lag versus Bluetooth on some consoles. Game mode on TVs cuts display latency — critical for peek trades.

Use party chat for team modes; callouts beat solo queue silence. Redeem codes with on-screen keyboard — tedious but works via lobby gift icon per how to redeem.
